Funky Friday #5

Here's my try at this challenge, I struggled with this one, I always do when there's a lot of colours, I know Abi said I only have to use 3, but I never do things by halves.

I used Brilliant Blue, Whisper white and Tempting Turquoise card, stamped the mushroom in Rose red with Garden green ink for the Grass and coloured tthe Mushroom with my Aqua Painter and regal rose ink.
I stamped the frog in Garden green ink and coloured him with certainly celery and my Aqua painter, next I stamped the flower with Garden green and only orange and coloured it with my aqua painter and Garden green and Yoyo yellow, I have found my Aqua Painter works best with hardly any water in it or none at all.
I stamped the Hoppy Birthday with tempting turquoise. I used my Spot on roller and versamark ink on the main card I would have used tempting turquoise ink but I only have the stampin spot in that colour at the moment.

Never Ending Card

Lorraine you're gonna love this idea, I followed these instructions from Dawn to make this card, it's really cool because instead of only getting to decorate the outside you get to decorate 4 sides, can't wait to see yours Abi :p I beat you lol, it was more difficult than I thought it would be.

I used Night of Navy, bordering blue and whisper white card, versamark and Night of Navy ink, whisper white ribbon, designer paper from the hostess level 1 set, scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle, 1 1/4" circle punches and these stamp sets Loads of Love, Seeing Spots and Congrats (Stampin' Up! sale-a-bration set only available if you spend £45 before the end of Feb).

Funky Friday #4

I found this weeks challenge easy probably because I love those colours and have loads of new stamp sets to play with. So this card is for my Mum she had a operation on Wednesday so I made this for her with the help of Charlotte who added her artistic water mark to the card,

I used Blush blossom for the card stamped versamark flower's and some leaves from the botanical blooms Sale-a-bration set only available if you spend £45 in January or Febuary, I would have used blush blossom but couldn't be bothered to go look for it.
tied a piece of whisper white ribbon on the front, stamped the flowers and leaves on whisper white card with garden green and regal rose using repetition to get different shades of the same colour cut these out using my scallop circle punch cut a circle out of pretty in pink card then cut a scallop circle around the outside of where I had punched the circle, next I used my smallest hole punch (thanks Abi saw your tutorial and loved this bit) to punch holes in each of the scallops on the pretty in pink, stuck the pretty in pink to the whisper white and stuck it over the ribbon.

finally I wrote a message as I don't have any get well type of stamps at the moment, why is it that the stamp sets you decide not to buy yet are the ones you need, I've needed a get well type message twice in the last few weeks, I bet as soon as I have one I won't need it for years lol. I'd best get one to make sure noone gets ill.

Something other than cards

Thought I'd post this as I had fun making it it was a knit your own winnie the poo kit, I knitted this for Charlotte my 1 yr old, it was going to be for her first birthday but I didn't finish it in time so she got it for christmas instead. This took me months to knit, fluff, stitch and stuff but it was worth it.

Garden Whimsey

I did this for Abi's funky Friday challenge the chalenge was to use Taken with teal, bordering blue, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, and More mustard or Basic Grey.
I used so swirly jumbo wheel and garden whimsey stamp set, I used versamark and Night of navy ink, night of navy and very vanilla card, more mustard designer series paper(from the hostess rewards), and taken with teal and night of navy pastels). I curled the wings of the butterfly with the back of my scissors (like Karen did at my workshop on Friday), used my sizzix tag die and a pocket template I have.

OSW card box

This is the box I made to go with my one sheet wonder cards, I followed instructions I found on www.Inlovewithstamping.com but wish I had checked my envelopes first as they were to big to fit in the box, I will make this box again but have changed the instructions to fit my envelopes.
I used the same card and inks as my OSW cards but added some tombow and dazzling diamonds. It holds love notes, gift tags and cards and will make a good hostess gift.

2-5-7-10 Box

I made this as my hostess gift and filled it with fudge I made from my Mum's recipe (which is delicious), I also demo'd it at my workshop but think it took too long to do again people lost interest with all the scoring and cutting.
I used spot on jumbo roller with lovely lilac cartridge, seeing spots stamp set, Lovely lilac card, whisper white ribbon, a yellow brad, lovely lilac card, a paper scorer, decorative edge scissors or punches, eyelet punch for the ribbon holes and gable green and lovely lilac ink spots.

Make and takes

Friday was my first workshop, hopefully I'll get better with practice and learn from my mistakes, so here's the make and take I made, it was interesting to see how the same stamp set, inks and card could make so many different cards, and was so strange talking and crafting with people watching.
This was my card I used spot on jumbo wheel, Garden Whimsey and occasional Greetings stamp sets, Whisper white ribbon, Handsome hunter and Rose red ink and Rose red, regal rose, Whisper white and blush blossom card.

Another Chalenge from Abi

Fridays Challenge was to Use the coolours old olive, really rust, bordering blue, ballet blue, barely banana and real red so heres what I came up with I just hope my hubby doesn't look at my blog before Valentines day as its his valentines card.
I stamped the car, hearts and woman from Loads of love stamp set on whisper white card in basic black ink and real red ink, coloured them using blender pens and stampin up pastels, real red for the hearts and jumper, old olive for the car basic black for the wheels, bordering blue for the bumper and alloys really rust for the mud on the car, barely banana for the ladys hair and ballet blue for the windows.
I cut a card from real red card and scored at 2.25cm and 15.75 cm to make a gate fold card, cut real red from hostess designer series paper, matted this onto whisper white and stuck one on each side of the front cut a heart from real red card matted it on whisper white card and stuck it to the front of the card then used a red brad to attach the hearts with loads of love on them to the heart.
