Another sweet treat


I made these for my little sister, who used to get hyperactive from blue smarties, but since they only use natural food colouring now they don't have the same effect, m&m's still use food colouring, lol, wonder if they still make her hyper, let me know, for this card I used pacific point, chocolate chip and whisper white card, pacific point and chocolate chip ink, round tab and 1 3/8" circle punches, the stamps are from something sweet.

M&M's card




Here's a card I made using the sweet treets cups eventually I'll get around to sticking a photo on the white square and sending it to someone for christmas, I know it's to early to think of christmas sorry, I love the way Stampin' Up! have colours that match m&m's, for this card I used bashful blue, whisper white, chocolate chip and marina mist card, marina mist ink, chocolate chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, 1 3/4" circle, scallop edge and round tab punches and Sparkling jumbo wheel.

Thursdays workshop projects

Here's the items we made on Thursday it was a Christmas workshop. For the box and card above I used whisper white, Cherry cobbler and garden green card, 1" & 1 1/4" circle punches, champagne mist shimmer paint, so swirly jumbo wheel with versamark cartridge, Baroque border standard wheel whisper white craft ink and linen thread.
This 6"x6" scrapbook page used perfect plum and very vanilla card elegant eggplant textured card, very vanilla 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, chocolate chip, elegant eggplant and perfect plum ink, eyelet border punch and the stamps used were tree trimmings.



Here's a close up of the bird so you can see the shimmer spray, I used a acetate mask and sprayed a mix of frost white shimmer paint and isoproply alcohol behind the bird.

For this card I used real red, chocolate chip, old olive and very vanilla card, veramark, real red stampin' pastel, old olive ink and the 2 step bird punch, the sentiment came from contempo christmas stamp set. I should have used my stamp-a-mi-jig to get the words straight but I was in a hurry oopps school girl error.

Lot's of love hearts


Just a quick post to show this card, I used I {heart} hearts stamp set , heat and stick powder, dazzling diamonds glitter, real red 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, whisper white, real red and riding hood red card, versamark and real red ink, white embossing powder, full heart and heart to heart punches and a small library clip.

Here's a card I made for our display, I used chocolate chip, pretty in pink and whisper white card, designer paper from love stories simply scrappin', chocolate chip 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, tombow glue, dazzling diamonds and gold glitter's,the stamps areBig bold birthday and I used the stamp-a-mi-jig as they're what Stampin' Up! call 2 step stamping.

Here's another scrapbook page I made for our display at the Exeter Craft show, this one was really quick to make, I used real red, brilliant blue(retired), glorious green (retired), yoyo yellow (retired) and pumpkin pie card, schoolbook serif numbers whiper white craft ink, real red marker, chipboard letters, white embossing powder, 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1 3/4" circle punches.

Stamped Jewellery


While at the craft show we asked very nicly if the lady (Jacqui James I think) from Jay Jay Design could use Simply said stamp set to make silver charms for our braclets here's the ones I had they were made using silver clay, so after seeing how nice these turned out I'm going to be buying my own silver clay kit and hopefully my Husband will get the hint that what I want for christmas is to go on one or 2 of the silver clay workshops that Jacqui runs. When I've finished making the watch these charm's are going on I'll put it on this blog, it could take me a while though as I have a big work shop to prepare for, hi to all Sarah Dodds scrapbooking club. I'll see you all Thursday next week.

yay another post at last lol


I know I've not posted in ages and now I have so muck to post that I'll be posting more than once a week I wish I could put it all in this post but I'd get repetitive strain injury from the typing.

Last week I spent 4 days Demonstrating and helping people make card and scrapbook pages using the wonderfull products available from Stampin' Up! this was at the Creative Stitches and hobbycrafts show held in Westpoint Exeter, Hello to all the great people we met.

This was a scrapbook page I made to display at the Craft show, I used pocket silhouettes stamp set and so Swirly jumbo wheel, basic black stampin' write marker, real red and Kraft Card,real red ink, versamark filled jumbo ink cartridge, heat and stick powder, gold glitter from fine galaxy glitter set, chipboard letters and flower, crystal effects, champagne mist shimmer paint, real red brads and designer paper from the Christmas jingle simply scraping kit, I found the layout on a scrapmap but I can't remember which one it came from so if you recognise this sketch please email me so I can give you credit.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST A BIG THANK YOU TO MY UNDERSTANING HUSBAND WHO ACTED AS CHAFFEUR AND BABYSITTER FOR THE 4 DAYS I COULDN'T HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOUR HELP, HEHE AND ABI EVEN GOT HIM MAKING A CARD PHOTO PROF TO BE POSTED LATER. Funky Friday #69



This weeks challengw is black and white, inspired from the Cornish flag, click the flag to see what the design team have made.


For my card I used basic black and whisper white card, vellum, pretties kit, versa mark, stazon black, basic black Stampin' Up! classic inks, white embossing powder, frost white shimmer paint,whisper white taffeta ribbon, 1" circle punch.
The stamps were vintage vogue and tiny tags from the mini and baroque border standard wheel from the main catalogue.

Funky Friday #66

Here's my card it's a double slider card, I really had fun making it, I used Lovely lilac, ballet blue, tempting turquoise & whisper white card, vellum, chocolate chip, ballet blue & tempting turqoise classic ink, whisper white craft ink, frost white shimmer paint, chocolate chip 3/8" taffeta ribbon, corner rounder, 13/8" circle and extra large two step bird punches. The stamps I used are Whimsical wings (level 2 hostess) and tiny tags both from Stampin' Up!

Funky friday 61 + 62

I've finally recovered from the school holidays enough to post this weeks and last weeks Funky Friday Challenge creations, above is a book make for this weeks challenge which is to use at least 3 of these colours Taken with teal, Sage shadow, cameo coral, Orchid opulence, chocolate chip and white, and below is last weeks card which was a sketch challenge.

For the book mark I used Chocolate chip, sage shadow and whisper white card, cameo coral, sage shadow and chocolate chip ink, I also used the crop-o-dile and jumbo pewter eyelets, 3/4" circle punch and chocolate chip 3/8" taffeta ribbon, the stamps are My sweet pea from the Stampin' Up! mini catalogue.
For the card I used bashful blue, ballet blue, bordering blue, brocade blue and whisper white card, bashful blue and going grey ink, platinum shimmer paint, I used In the stars and Starring you stamp sets.

Funky Friday #60


This weeks challenge was the theme Summer, well I struggle with theme's, this bird reminded me of the flamingoo's I saw at the Zoo last summer. Click here to see other creations.
For ths card I used Pretty in Pink, Chocolate chip and whisper white card, pretty in pink and chocolate chip ink, designer paper from the mini catalogue, stitched felt, champagne mist shimmer paint, white gel pen, paper peircer and matt pack. The stamps Iused were My sweet pea and best yet(retired) both from Stampin' Up!

Here's the quick and simple card I made for my daughters friend, I used creamy caramel, very vanilla and melon mambo card, creamy caramel ink paper piercer and matt pack, 1 3/4" & 1 3/8" circle punches and fox and friends and schoolbook serif numbers stamp set's.

I love this sketch, for my card I used pixie pink, whisper white and melon mambo card, melon mambo and mellow moss ink, whisper white craft ink, melon mambo spotted ribbon (gorgeous isn't it), the pretties kit and yes again vintage vogue stamp set I promise I'll try to use a different one next week but I really like it, as usual all products are Stampin Up!

Funky Friday #57

O.K I really struggle with theme challenges but here's what I came up with, now I just need to find the right photo, print it in black and white then crop it to size.
I decided that my family is the thing I am most thankful for.
for this 6" x 6" I used brocade blue, bordering blue, whisper white and sahara sand card, whisper white craft ink and brocade blue marker. it was going to be a 3 photo 12" page but I ran out of time so decided to just do the 1 photo, the stamp set I used was vintage vogue (again lol) I love this set. All products are available from Stampin' Up!

Funky Friday #56

Here's my card, for this card I used Lovely lilac and whisper white card, vellum, Lovely lilac ink, whisper white craft ink, 1/4" ellegant eggplant grosgrain ribbon, 3/8" whisper white taffeta ribbon, frost white and platinum shimmer paints, corner rounder and eyelet border punches, very vintage jumbo wheel and Vintage vogue stamp set, the brads were from my stash.
This stamp set is becoming one of my favourites.

Funky Friday #55

This is my card it's also the one I made for the swaps at the training event, I used pretty in pink, close to cocoa and whisper white card, chocolate chip, pretty in pink and versamark ink, clear embossing powder and 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, the sentiment came from stampin' Up! fresh cuts stamp set, the squares were either embossed or emboss resisted using the jumbo very vintage wheel.

Ribbon Box


I made this box for the demonstrator choice at the training event we did last week, it holds 9 1/2" or 5/8" ribbon reels, I made it from the bottom of a large cereal box.
I used pretty in pink and whisper white card, dsp from tea & crumpets, pretty in pink, close to cocoa, chocolte chip and versamark inks (the colours were used on the top wish I'd got a photo of that but I forgot), clear embossing powder, corner rounder punch, Chocolate chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. The stamp's used were Vintage vogue and schoolbook serif alphabet, I also used the very vintage jumbo wheel all product used were Stampin' Up! I let them keep it for their displays :( so now I need to make a new one for my ribbons =D
What surprised me was that I won a prize for it some of the other demonstrators had made some amazing projects like this box by my amazing upline Abi.

This weeks challenge is the theme chocolate, So here's my project it's my cat's chocolate & nugget (the kids named them), click here to see the design teams creations.
I tried to get a close up so you could see how great the shimmer paint and the crystal effects look but they never look as good in photo's.
For these pages I used creamy caramel, and handsome hunter card (faux suede technique for handsome hunter), the paws prints were cut from either kraft or sahara sand card can't remember which using 1 3/8" & 1/2" circle punches, then sponged with champagne mist shimmer paint, I coloured chip board letters with chocolate chip ink the topped with crystal effects.
The stamp set used was schoolbook serif alphabet.

Funky Friday #53


This weeks challenge was set by Elaine Sorry mine's so late I was on holiday till Friday and had field training on Saturday, but finally I'm back and blogging again, keep checking my blog as I have some lovely photo's to add from the field training and a special offer

Don't you love these little animals they're so cute and perfect for children, they're from the new mini catalogue and are only gauranteed to be available untill September 30th, they're from the fox & friends stamp set and I think they're super value at only £14.95 for 7 stamps.
For these cards I used Whisper white or Very Vanilla love notes, Real Red, So Saffron and Taken with teal Card, whiper white craft ink, So saffron, Taken with teal and versamark ink, real red marker, Linen thread, tag and small tag punches, paper piercer, and the small hole punch on my crop-o-dile, the make a wish sentiment came from the big bold birthday stamp set.

More Egg bags


These were the sweet bags I made for the boys in my daughters class, I decided that they might not like pink ones.
For these I used Bashful Blue, Barely Banana and whisper white card, Bashful blue and barely banana striped 1/2" grosgrain ribbon, whisper white taffeta ribbon,bashful blue and versamark ink, tag and small tag punches, cropodile to punch holes, spot on jumbo wheel and Stampin' Up! retired hostess stamp set terrific tags.

So here's what I made for Ella's scrapbook, I'm having a bit of a cocoa and pink month.
For this I used Pretty in pink, Close to cocoa and whisper white card, pretty in pink and close to cocoa ink, whisper white craft ink, clear embossing powder, letter "D" from on board lots of letters, close to Cocoa marker, retired designer paper sweet always, scallop circle, 1 3/4" circle, 1 3/8" circle and scallop edge punches. The stamps I used for this were A beautiful thing form Stampin' Up!

Funky Friday #51

This weeks challenge on the Funky Friday Challenge blog is anything but a card, I made these little gift bag's for my daughter to take to school It's her birthday next week so I need to make about 50 of these and need a big supply of mini eggs.


I loved last weeks colours so much that I decided to use them again this week, For this bag I used Small cellaphane bags they come in a pack of 50 for £2.75 from Stampin' Up!, (note to self must buy more), Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana and Close to cocoa card, chocolate chip and versamark ink and 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Heat and stick powder, dazzling diamonds glitter, Spot on jumbo wheel, Oval all Stamp set, Oval punch and scallop oval punch which you can get for the reduced price of £10 if you buy the co-ordinating stamp set but only if you order it in March.

Funky Friday #50

Here's my card for this week's challenge and a little sneak peak from the Stampin' Up! mini catalogue that start's in April, the little cup is called a sweet treat cup and I love them, they fit perfectly inside the egg from A good egg stamp set. The inside of the card has a little slider so you can get the sweetie's out without destroying the card.
For this card I used close to cocoa, chocolate chip, barely banana and whisper white card, close to cocoa, barely banana and pretty in pink markers, chocolate chip ink, 1 3/4" circle punch and a sweet treat cup which come in a pack of 12 for £2.50

Happy Mother's Day

This is my Mum's mother's day card, I had to wait to post it till now or she would see it on facebook, as my blog updates on facebook, yes my Mum goes on Facebook....a lot, lol.

As you can see I didn't stop at decorating the outside the inside was pretty too.
For this card I used Pretty in pink, blush blossom and whisper white card, Chocolate chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, tea and crumpet designer paper (I know again), blush blossom, pretty in pink and versamark ink, clear embossing powder, heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds glitter and the scallop edge punch. The stamp I used were all from Stampin' Up! I used Occasional greetings for the sentiment inside the card, pocket silhouettes for the viney flowers and School Serif Alphabet for the word Mum. I used the emboss resist tecnique for this card hopefully soon I'll get a tutorial on my tutorial blog for that one too, but can't see it happening within the next week or 2 as they're going to be busy one's.
